Spider-Man: Brand New Day
Fourth MCU Spidey, and the title is a promise nobody asked anyone to keep. "Brand New Day" is comics shorthand for a reset that fans have been litigating since 2007, so the discourse arrived pre-loaded.
The joke is the memory wipe. Everyone forgot Peter Parker, and the timeline is now a group chat where one guy keeps getting removed and re-added.
Also: the suit. Screenshots got zoomed to the pixel within an hour, and half the takes were about whether the whole thing looks like a rental.

SummerSlam (2026)
Two nights, U.S. Bank Stadium, 39th one. WWE ran it like a festival and the internet treated it like one, which means every finish became a reaction image before the pin was even counted.
Minneapolis carried a shocking amount of the material. "SummerSlam: Minnesota" is a phrase that sounds fake and reads like a Coen brothers subtitle, and nobody let that go.
The real export was faces. Crowd shots, mid-air stills, one commentator caught blinking wrong. Wrestling remains the most efficient screenshot factory on the internet.

The Odyssey (2026 film)
Nolan adapting Homer with a cast that reads like a hostage list: Damon, Holland, Hathaway, Pattinson, Nyong'o, Zendaya, Theron. The ensemble alone generated a week of fancasting revisionism.
Central bit: the guy takes twenty years to get home and the audience takes three hours to hear the dialogue. Sound mixing slander was locked and loaded before anyone saw a frame.
Runtime speculation is the other lane. Everyone is pretending to schedule their August around it, plus IMAX ticket screenshots posted like property deeds.

Two-panel overreaction
Panel one, composed. Panel two, fully off the rails. The gap does all the work, and the caption only has to name a grievance small enough to be embarrassing.
It spread because it costs nothing. Any two images with a tonal cliff between them qualify, so the format absorbed reaction shots, movie stills, and personal camera roll evidence overnight.
Currently doing heavy lifting for the Odyssey and Spider-Man posts, which is how you know a format has hit utility status.

Deadpan corporate voiceover
Flat, HR-adjacent narration laid over footage of something going badly wrong. The voice never acknowledges the chaos. That refusal is the entire punchline.
It works because the register is already everywhere: onboarding videos, brand apologies, LinkedIn cadence. Borrowing that tone and pointing it at genuine disaster requires zero setup.
Fair warning, the ceiling is low. If the narration starts winking, it collapses into a brand account, and the replies will tell you so.
