The short version
- What you make is yours. We take no ownership of your memes and no licence to publish them.
- Meme formats in our catalogue are community-created and are not rights-cleared. Checking that is your job, not ours.
- The tools that imitate Slack, Jira, YouTube and the rest are parodies. We are not affiliated with any of them, and you must not use them to impersonate anyone.
- AI output is not guaranteed to be original, accurate or safe to publish. Read it before you post it.
- Prices, credits and plans live on the pricing page. Cancel whenever; we do not lock you in.
This agreement
These terms are between you and Blue Mint Studios, [company registration — to be confirmed], [registered address — to be confirmed] — "we", "us" — and govern your use of MemeMint Studio at mememintstudios.com.
Using the site accepts them. If you use MemeMint on behalf of a company, you confirm you are allowed to accept them for that company.
You must be at least 13 to use MemeMint, and old enough to enter a contract where you live.
What MemeMint does
MemeMint generates and edits memes: image, GIF and video formats, AI-written captions, a catalogue of meme templates, and a set of free tools that render fake screenshots and classic formats.
The free tools need no account and are free to use, including commercially. The workspace — saved projects, brand kits, scheduling and the trend radar — needs an account.
Some features described on the marketing pages are still being built. Where a feature is not live, it is not part of what you are paying for; plans are sold on what the product does today.
Your content stays yours
You keep every right you already had in what you type, upload and generate. We claim no ownership of it.
You grant us only the narrow licence we need to run the product for you: to store your content, process it to render your images, send prompts to our AI provider to write your captions, and show it back to you and to anyone you deliberately share it with. That licence exists so the software can function, ends when you delete the content, and does not let us publish, distribute, sell or use your work to promote MemeMint.
You are responsible for what you put in. By uploading, you confirm you have the rights to it.
Meme templates and third-party material
The template catalogue is drawn from community meme formats. These are user-generated, they are not curated for rights, and we make no claim to own them or to be able to license them to you. Every one carries a risk rating, and that rating is a heuristic signal — not legal advice, and not a clearance.
Before you publish anything built on a template — particularly commercially, in advertising, or for a brand — clearing the rights in the underlying image is your responsibility. A "low risk" badge is our software’s guess, not a warranty.
If you own rights in an image in our catalogue and want it removed, email hey@mememintstudios.com with the format and we will take it down. We keep the source reference for each template specifically so this is possible.
Parody tools, trademarks and impersonation
Several free tools imitate the look of well-known products in order to make a joke: Slack, Jira, Stack Overflow, GitHub pull requests, YouTube thumbnails, terminal output and imageboard greentext.
Those names and marks belong to their owners — Salesforce, Atlassian, Stack Exchange, GitHub, Google and others. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to any of them. The tools exist as parody, which is what the recognition is for.
That protection is not unlimited, and it does not extend to you passing off a fake as real. You must not use these tools to impersonate a person, company or publication, to fabricate a statement someone did not make, to manufacture apparent evidence, or to deceive anyone about the origin of something. Keep it obviously a joke.
AI-generated captions and images
Captions, headlines and thumbnails are produced by an AI model. That means output can be wrong, unfunny, unoriginal, or accidentally similar to something that already exists. Two users giving similar briefs may receive similar results, and we cannot promise anything generated is unique to you.
You are the editor. Read what comes back before publishing it, especially anything about a real person, brand or event.
Brand-safety controls, banned-word lists and risk ratings reduce obvious mistakes. They are not moderation, they are not a guarantee, and they do not transfer responsibility for what you post from you to us.
What you may not do
Do not use MemeMint to make or publish:
- Anything that harasses, bullies, threatens or targets a person or group, including on the basis of race, religion, sex, gender, sexuality or disability.
- Sexual content involving minors, or any sexual content depicting a real person without their consent.
- Material designed to deceive — fake quotes, fabricated screenshots presented as genuine, forged documents, or synthetic evidence.
- Content that impersonates a real person or organisation, or that misrepresents your affiliation with one.
- Anything unlawful where you are, or that infringes someone else’s intellectual property or privacy.
Nor may you resell or redistribute the service itself, scrape it, attack it, work around its rate limits or credit system, or use it to build a competing product.
We can suspend or close an account that breaks these rules, and we do not owe a refund when we do.
Your account
Keep your credentials to yourself; you are responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us promptly if you think someone else is in it.
You can close your account at any time. Self-service deletion is not built yet, so today that means emailing hey@mememintstudios.com and we will do it and confirm.
Plans, credits and billing
Current plans, prices and credit allowances are on the pricing page. They form part of these terms, and we point at them rather than repeating them here so there is only ever one set of numbers.
Generating costs credits; editing, resizing and re-exporting something you already made does not. Plan credits refresh with your billing cycle. Credits bought as one-off packs do not expire.
Paid plans renew automatically until you cancel. Cancelling stops the next renewal and leaves you access until the end of the period you have paid for. We do not pro-rate a partial month.
Payments run through Stripe, and their terms apply to the payment itself. If a charge fails we may suspend paid features until it clears.
We can change prices, but not retroactively: existing subscribers get at least 30 days’ notice by email before a change affects them, and you can cancel in that window.
Beyond any refund right you have by law — including the statutory cancellation rights consumers have in the UK and EU — refunds are at our discretion. Ask us; we are reasonable.
Availability
We do not offer a service level agreement or promise any particular uptime. We take the product seriously and want it up, but it can go down for maintenance, for a provider outage, or because something broke.
Features can change. We will not remove something you are actively paying for without notice and a way out.
Warranties and liability
The service is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we exclude implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, lost data, or damage to your reputation arising from something you published. Where we are liable, our total liability across all claims is capped at what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or £100 if you paid us nothing.
Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected.
You agree to cover us against claims brought by someone else arising from content you created or published using MemeMint — which is the practical consequence of you, not us, deciding what to post.
Ending things
You can stop using MemeMint whenever you like. We can suspend or end an account that breaks these terms, that we are legally required to close, or if we discontinue the product.
If we shut the product down we will give you reasonable notice and a way to export what you made. Sections that are meant to outlive the agreement — content ownership, liability, governing law — do.
Changes to these terms
We will update this page and move the date at the top. For changes that materially affect you we will give notice by email before they take effect. Continuing to use MemeMint afterwards accepts the new version; if you would rather not, cancel.
Governing law
These terms are governed by [governing law — to be confirmed], and the courts of [jurisdiction — to be confirmed] have exclusive jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory laws of the country you live in.
