Sup memelords,
Spider-Man and Nolan's Odyssey are fighting over the same timeline, Zendaya is in both, and two panels are doing all the emotional labor. Wednesday.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day
Fourth MCU Spider-Man, title lifted straight from the comics arc everyone has strong opinions about. The discourse split instantly into "they're erasing something" and "they're erasing nothing, you just read a wiki once."
The joke is the title as a threat. Brand New Day applied to your relapse, your ninth fresh start, your unsaved tabs. Peter Parker as the patron saint of resetting instead of fixing.
Also live: continuity charts drawn by people who have never once been asked for a continuity chart.

The Odyssey (2026 film)
Nolan doing Homer with a cast that reads like someone raided three other franchises. Matt Damon as Odysseus, Tom Holland as Telemachus, and roughly nine people you'd call the lead in any other movie.
The internet's angle: the ten-year journey home compared to every task you've been avoiding since 2016. Also the exact runtime, and whether you'll be able to hear a single line of dialogue.
Secondary bit: Damon stuck at sea because he refuses to just text.

Zendaya
She is in Brand New Day. She is in The Odyssey. Two of the biggest films of the year, same week of chatter, and the timeline noticed she is essentially co-hosting 2026.
Hence the scheduling jokes: Zendaya on set of three things at once, Zendaya as the only fixed point in the multiverse, Zendaya appearing in movies she was not cast in.
The other lane is the promo-tour face. Composed, faintly done with it, extremely screenshottable.

Two-panel overreaction
Panel one: measured. Panel two: total collapse. The gap between them is the whole gag, and the wider the gap the better it performs.
It's spiking because two blockbusters and a full cast list gave everyone a before/after to work with. Trailer reaction, casting reaction, runtime reaction. The format eats announcements.
Low effort in the correct way. No caption writing required, just pick something mildly annoying and lose it in the second frame.

Deadpan corporate voiceover
Flat brand-explainer narration laid over footage that is on fire. The mismatch does everything; the voice never acknowledges anything is wrong.
It got a second life off the film promo cycle, where actual studio marketing already sounds like this. Once the real thing is indistinguishable from the bit, the bit gets easier.
Only failure state is playing it straight for too long. It needs the wink or it's just an ad, and people can smell that in four seconds.
Here are some of the funniest ones so far:
